Anne Corless
Fine Artist and Illustrator Anne Corless produces artwork for exhibition and on commission. Figurative art and portraiture; produced using either traditional media or digital artwork, are a specialty. African wildlife and equestrian art are a passion.
Having trained as a Medical Artist, and before that as a Natural History and Scientific Illustrator, Anne is able to use this expertise to produce realistic and dynamic artwork in her work both as a Fine Artist and as an Illustrator; in the specialist areas of medical, veterinary and scientific illustration. Her experiences of African wildlife from living and working in Africa where she spent countless hours drawing and photographing animals in their natural habitat, has resulted in a love of animals and a determination to help with wildlife conservation wherever possible. Anne first donated artwork to the Born Free Foundation ten years ago and continues to try to find ways of supporting this charity with her artwork whenever possible.
Having successfully re-homed and retrained a race horse off the Nairobi race track many, many years ago…she greatly admires the work done by equine charities and remains determined to support equine charities such as the Thoroughbred Rehabilitation Centre and World Horse Welfare.
Anne’s specialist illustration medical artwork features on the Wellcome Trust’s website: http://medphoto.wellcome.ac.uk and on the American Indexed Visuals website: www.indexedvisuals.com. She supports the medical charity Feet First Worldwide that works to prevent and treat physical disability worldwide.
