I am a Professional Associate Member of Society for All Artists and Trustee/Racing Liaison for Association of Animal Artists.
I have been involved with horses and ponies all my life my Dad being a racehorse trainer between the Wars. I worked for Ginger McCain during the Red Rum era and have worked for Major P Nelson, Paul Cole and Barry Hills, having rides on the Flat as a Lady Jockey in the 1970’s alongside Meriel Tuffnell.
I still ride out most days on our retired racehorse, Master of Fun ,who was a successful steeple-chaser in the 1980’s.
I have been interested in art from a young age and began by drawing the family pets and wildlife. My Mum was a gifted artist and a strong influence.
Having attained formal qualifications in art and a teaching qualification in art and craft, I have demonstrated at craft fairs and as a Professional Associate Member of the Society for All Artists.
I have exhibited at The Laing Exhibition, Manchester, The Palette Club, World Horse Welfare, Blackpool, The Atkinson Art Gallery and Salmesbury Hall.
I have other work displayed on my website www.animalsart.co.uk
