David A Finney

End to End by Dave Finney

Cheshire wildlife artist David A. Finney has had a lifelong interest in Natural History, and a particular passion for British birds.

In almost 25 years as a professional artist, his finely detailed acrylic paintings of birds and other animals have been reproduced on collectors-plates by Spode and Danbury Mint, as well as on hundreds of greetings-cards for organisations such as the RSPB, RSPCA and Worldwide Fund for Nature. He has also illustrated three children's books.

David is an integral part of the organising committee of the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art and an active member of the South East Cheshire Ornithological Society.

“I draw my inspiration from the countryside around me” says David, “and hope my appreciation of it shows through in my work”

Autumn 2011 will see his solo show ‘Seasonal Colours’ fill the Cheng-Kim Loke Gallery at WWT headquarters, Slimbridge.

David also regularly exhibits with the Natural World Art Group, in Norfolk.

He is happy to take commissions on any animal theme.
