Julie Nash

Julie lives on the Fylde coast of Lancashire. Her desire to draw and paint was first kindled by
pictures in ‘Ladybird’ Children’s books. She was a regular winner of Childrens’ art competitions,
teaching herself to use watercolours and oils whilst still at school.
Her first artistic subjects were animals. Now her portfolio encompasses animal and human portraiture, Pets, Wildlife, Equestrian, Landscape and Still Life genres. Her portrait of Police Horse Invincible has been adopted as the logo for the Lancashire Constabulary Retired Police Horse Benevolent Fund.
Julie is a popular tutor of leisure classes, gives private tuition, demonstrations and workshops. Her book ‘How to Paint Cats and Kittens in Acrylic’ is due for release in the spring of 2012.
