Nikki Moore - Pigsty Studio
Nicola (Nikki) is an artist specialising in equestrian, animal and wildlife paintings, illustrations, graphic design and publishing. She has had notable commissions from the British Horse Society, the King’s Troop, RHA, the Royal Artillery Hunt, British Horse Society, BSJA, ILPH, and numerous private clients.
She has exhibited both in Britain and abroad and attends various shows throughout the year. She is a member of the Society of Equestrian Artists, Armed Forces Art Society, the Association of Illustrators and the Association of Animal Artists.
As an illustrator she has been commissioned to illustrate books usually of a rural and agricultural nature.
Nikki has won several notable awards for her paintings in London exhibitions including the AFAS Best Painting prize in 2004 and the Painters and Stainers Prize in 2008. She was awarded the Boedynofel Prize by the BHS in 2007 for her work for equestrianism in producing the BHS Diamond Jubilee Triptych and was presented to HRH The Queen and Prince Philip at Royal Windsor in 2008 at a private reception by the British Horse Society. She has worked with several equestrian charities and groups including the Moorland Mousie Trust on Exmoor, World of Horses in Bristol, World Horse Welfare and the National Pony Society. She is currently working on a new campaign with the British Horse Society against indiscriminate breeding called Drawing the Line.
She produces cartoons under the name Nik and has contributed magazines such as Horse and Hound and Military Illustrated. She has now established her studio in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire.
She undertakes private commissions and is also available for illustration, cartoon and graphic design work.
