Sarah Clegg ASEA

Ready to Roll by Sarah Clegg

Born in Cornwall in 1962, Sarah first picked up a brush in the mid 1990’s and remarkably for an artist with no formal training, swiftly developed a loyal following amongst the fieldsports and equestrian fraternity, painting exclusively by commission, initially in watercolour. By 2004, word had spread overseas and her paintings, now more often in oils, are held in private collections across three continents.

Sarah exhibits regularly with The Society of Equestrian Artists at their London and Newmarket exhibitions and from Scotland to the South-West at selected galleries. In the summer her work can be seen at gamefairs and equestrian events throughout the UK. Closer to home in Cheshire, she now also promotes the work of fellow sporting and wildlife artists as ‘The Fieldart Collection’. Her own small gallery area at Plantation in Plumley, along with its ‘Colonial Café’, is proving to be a winning combination with food and art lovers alike. Limited edition prints of her best work are available direct from the artist as well as a number of dealers in the UK and Ireland. She is represented in the USA by The Chisholm Gallery, NYC.

Shooting Break by Sarah Clegg

In her limited spare time away from the studio, Sarah has developed a secondary career as a fieldsports photographer and can usually be found in the summer at The Cheshire Polo Club and in winter following The Cheshire Hunt, or racing at Haydock and Aintree…

Sarah accepts commissions in dry media as well as oils and although her specialism is animals, her skills also extend to traditional portraiture. Please contact the artist direct for details and quotations.
