Tina Bone
At the age of seven Tina won a painting competition, and her primary school teacher told her, “You could be an artist!”.
At age eleven, whilst on holiday in Italy (Maddaloni, Near Caserta), she was commissioned to paint in oils on canvas a large mural of the Madonna and child to replace a wooden mural which had burned during firework celebrations. From the age of seventeen Tina was self-employed in desktop publishing, but in March 2005, she realised a lifelong ambition to become a professional artist.
Tina is self-taught and uses water colour, oil, pen and ink, and pencil for her work, which she uses in
the design of calendars and cards, which she prints and hand-crafts in her studio. Favourite subjects are
natural history, botanical illustration and illuminated lettering (with gilding), but she has painted many
subjects on commission
As well as membership of the AAA, Tina is also involved with the following organisations: Society of Botanical Artists (SBA), BirdingArt (BirdingArt.com), Marwell International Wildlife Art Society (MIWAS), The Natural World Art Group (NWAG), The Wildlife Art Society International (TWASI), Society of All Artists (SAA), National Exhibition of Wildlife Art (NEWA), Picturecraft Gallery, Holt, Norfolk, The Darryl Nantais Gallery, Linton, Cambs, Saatchi Gallery Online (Saatchi), Project Art Limited, London, and the Friends of Paxton Pits Nature Reserve (card sales).
