AAA Supports The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust

The Art Rendezvous (Art in the Pavillion) to be held on 18th September 2011 at The Villa will support DSWT and 20% of all sales will go to the Trust. See Art in The Pavillion for more details.

AAA at Derby House, Wrightington, Open Day

The Association of Animal Artists will be at the Derby House (Wrightington) Open Day on Monday 30th May 2011.

Do come along to say hi and to see the wonderful permanent ‘AAA Art Gallery at Derby House’ which has a selection of original artwork and prints for sale.

There is a nice café so do stop for a coffee or a meal. See you there!

Workshop Equine Communication through Body Language

Playing with her horse on the ground both on line and at liberty, Christine shows how body language is used to communicate in a way that is natural to the horse. Although a partnership, it is important that the handler shows leadership and this makes for a very harmonious way of playing together to have fun!

Christine’s partner is Lizzie an Irish Draught cross Thoroughbred, standing 16h high and dark brown/black in colour, she is 13 years old and has been with Christine since she was six.

Chris and LizzieChristine is a qualified Coach and NLP Practitioner. www.worthingtoncoaching.co.uk and has written a book “How to become a Confident Rider”.

Cost: £5 per person CASH please payable on the day.

This will be given to Christine for a charity of her choice; Mawdesley Equine & People Trust (Jigsaw).

Facilities: Take your own refreshments. Christine will be demonstrating in the outdoor school so bring weather proof clothing and something to sit on. Toilets available.

Art materials to take: Feel free to take along a sketch book if you would like to work from life. Cameras allowed.

Directions: Very close to Junction 8 of the M61.
